Sage 200 Report of The Month – Winter 2021

In Sage 200 by Callum Edwards

Reading Time: 4 minutes

As we say goodbye to those frightfully frosty Winter mornings, why not say hello to Sage’s latest free reports, making life just that little bit easier!

If you’re new around here, or just curious to find out more, then please take some time to look at our previous report of the month blogs.

If you’re one of our loyal readers, here’s a quick reminder of what we do.

Sage produces monthly reports for Sage 200cloud. These reports are referred to as the ‘Report of the Month’ and are released towards the start of each month.

Each quarter, we release a post, to keep you up-to-date on the last three months’ reports for Sage. It’s a quick insight into what each report does so that you can decide whether or not it would be useful to you. There will also be screenshots and a link further down the page which takes you to the reports on Sage’s website.

The reports cover a variety of different areas across your Sage system. These areas include Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledger, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing & Stock. As they are usually from suggestions by end-users or requested by Sage Partners it’s a great resource and they can be extremely useful, depending on your circumstances. You don’t get many things for free in life, but these reports are one of those exceptions!

So, let’s take a look at what Sage has rolled out over the last three months!

All the reports available are compatible with Sage 200cloud Ver. 8 (2011 Service Pack 7) onwards unless otherwise stated.

January: Sales Ledger 12 Month Net Turnover

Module: Sales Ledger

What better way to get rid of those January Blues, than with a report for the Sales Ledger. This report shows a total of invoice per customer less credit transactions and is split by 12 monthly columns.  It is even formatted for Excel export!

This report is brilliant for seeing how much each individual customer is spending, and what months are busier than others.)

February: SOP Sales Order with Project Code (Single)

Module: Sales Order Processing

Was that first report too cold for you? Let’s hope February starts to warm your socks. A little less of a report and more of a layout, based on the standard Sales Order layout. This will show you the project code and project name attached to the stock item, for Sage 200cloud Professional users who have the project accounting module.

March: Purchase Ledger 12 Month Net Purchases

If the last one wasn’t enough for you, March will blow your socks off! Last, but certainly by no means least, similar to the first report, this report shows you the total of invoice, less credit transactions but per supplier and split by 12 monthly columns, and yes, it is formatted for excel export.

This is a really great way to take a look at your spending per month and per supplier.

Where can you get the Reports from?

If you would like to find out more about these reports then click here.  This will take you to a webpage that has the full list of free reports.  If you are in need of reports, please take the time to look through the full list as there are some great ones on there. It’s split into various sections which include the Report of the Month, Archive, Free of Charge Report Library, and the Wish List Report Library.

The Free of Charge Report Library are reports which Sage has created and made available to their customers to download for free. These are listed under each other modules in Sage 200cloud for you to access and look through easily.

The Wish List Report Library is similar to the Free of Charge Report Library as these are also free but have been requested in the Ideas Hub (learn about it here) from Sage 200cloud Customers. Sage has made these available and again, has listed them per module.

After you have downloaded the report you want, you can use our guide, “How to add a Report to your Menu”. Please click here to see a full list of our help and user guides, including “How to add a Report to your Menu”.

Conclusion

Remember, if you don’t find the report you are looking for you can always speak with Sage and request a report from them directly.
