“Have you outgrown Sage 50?” Now I don’t know about you, but most of my life being told I had “outgrown” something usually meant I had put on a little too much timber! In most cases, in my own experience, it has always been the start of a negative comment. When it comes to software, however, how brilliant to ‘outgrow‘ a product. You and your business are doing so well that the accounts solution you started with just doesn’t fit anymore! You are bigger, stronger and wiser, soaring to new heights that your current product just can’t accommodate for. To be in a situation such as this can only mean great things are to follow.
Starting out with Sage 50
At the start of your journey, you were probably generating invoices from word and trying to create T accounts on excel. Looking back I doubt you ever thought you’d be at a stage where you had outgrown Sage 50, your first accounts software. A position you would have never been in without the help of Sage 50. Outgrowing Sage 50
As robust as Sage 50 is, unfortunately, if you’re growing, it won’t last forever! This software was designed to withstand up to 1.5 million transactions. I know it sounds like a lot, but as a successful operating business, this number doesn’t actually seem all that big. To put this number into perspective, Sage 200 was built with the capability to allow for over 9 million transactions… Now that’s the kind of numbers you want to be hitting!

As well as aiding with processes, in 200 you also have a stronger hold overstock. Sage 200 allows you to measure stock across multiple warehouses through batch/serial number processes. As well as being time-saving, Sage 200 may also be a cost-effective solution for you. Within Sage 200 you can add or remove modules and users to suit your individual requirements. Having an option like this available will ensure that you only pay for what you use, subsequently improving your cash flow… And who doesn’t love more money in their back pocket?!
