Sage 200 Professional 2023 R1 – What to Expect!

The Sage 200 Professional 2023 R1 update is here!

If you weren’t already aware, Sage releases an update enhancing their products at least twice a year, if not more often, and now is the time for the latest release.

With changes coming to the Stock Control module, POP, the cashbook, and Sage’s importing capabilities, there’s bound to be something for everyone.

Let’s dive in!

You should have seen some information dropping through onto your Advice Centre or on the Main Home Page from 9th February as to what has been included in the latest release.

This time around, they have introduced several most voted features by customers that have been submitted on the Ideas Hub.  They have also made major improvements on the API endpoints to make integrating with third-party software a whole lot easier.

Please note that the 2023 R1 update is not final and the changes listed below are not guaranteed to be in the next release.

So what’s new in Sage 200 Professional?

  • Improved Import Capabilities – With 2023 R1, you will now be able to import vatable journals into Sage. This is certainly at the top of a lot of customers’ wish lists and has the potential to really improve business processes.
  • Stock
    • Change the warehouse associated with multiple stock records quickly and simply
    • The maximum length of the part number has been increased on the stock record
  • Supplier Alerts – Similar to Customer Alerts in the Sales Ledger/SOP, Supplier Alerts will allow you to set notifications on your suppliers when processing purchase orders. You can use these to create simple reminders or instructions for your colleagues as they process an order.
  • Nominal Ledger – You will now be able to print details on Prior Year Journals.
  • Various API improvements
  • Various improvements to services including Bank Feeds, Invoice Payments (Stripe, PayPal, and GoCardless), and Salary and Supplier Payments (Modulr).

Conclusion
